Why Remove a Stairlift?

There are many reasons to remove a stairlift. It may no longer be needed, you may be moving house or selling a property, you may have bought a home that already has one fitted, or you may be upgrading to a newer model.

Whatever the reason, our engineers remove stairlifts quickly and cleanly, leaving your staircase tidy and ready for everyday use again.

What Happens on the Day

Our engineer will attend at an agreed time, safely isolate the power and disconnect the stairlift. The rail is fixed to the stair treads rather than the wall, so removal leaves only minimal marks.

We then remove the carriage and rail, tidy up as we go, and take the old stairlift away with us. A straight stairlift can usually be removed within a short visit.

Disposal & Relocation

We dispose of old stairlifts responsibly and recycle parts where possible. If you would prefer to keep the lift, we can relocate it to another staircase or property, or refit a reconditioned lift for you.
